Coffey's Concealed Carry Handgun Training
Concealed Carry Training
The fee for this class is $85.00
The class is located in Oxford just north of Raleigh or Durham. This is a one day class held the first Saturday of every month, unless it is a holiday weekend. We will be in the classroom until lunch time and then head to the range. Please bring a bag lunch with you as we take a working lunch while at the range. I will provide drinks and snacks. The time spent at the range will depend on the class size. Each participant will need to bring 50 rounds of ammunition. After each student completes their shooting to qualify we will return to the classroom to complete the required hours of classwork. Any skill level is welcome from the Beginner to the Expert.
Basic Handgun Training
The fee for a typical class is $75.00 per person and average about 2 hours.
Courses will be made to accommodate individual one on one instruction or group needs. These classes are not regularly scheduled but we will be glad to offer them by appointment on dates and at times that are convenient to those attending.
The course will provide knowledge on the use and maintenance of the individual handgun, principles of gun safety, marksmanship fundamentals, and plenty of trigger time with personalized instruction.
Typical courses are completed in two hours and all of this time is spent on the range. We recommend participants bring 150 rounds of ammunition for their handgun. This amount of ammunition is a suggestion not a requirement. More or less ammunition can be brought according to the desires of those attending. We will be glad to provide handguns for those who do not own one. Attendees who want to use our guns to gain a better understanding of what gun might be best suited for the individual are welcome to do so. We have many different types and styles to offer free of charge.
*Please note the use of our guns is free of charge, however, you will still need to provide your ammunition.
Enhanced Pistol Skills
The fee for this class is $100.00 per person
This class takes the shooter beyond the basics of standard marksmanship fundamentals and better prepares them for real life scenarios. The vast majority of deadly force encounters involve movement and multiple targets though most people practice by standing still and shooting at a single motionless target. Deadly force encounters occur in home settings, outdoor settings, and while traveling in vehicles. All these scenarios will be explored with real life shooting stages that will better prepare the shooter to win such an encounter. This is a hands on class that will involve only a short safety briefing followed by 100% range time with trigger time limited only by the amount of ammunition brought by the shooter. The class typically lasts 4-6 hours. Participants should bring their handgun and a belt holster for it as well as a spare magazine and spare magazine holder. All levels of experience are welcome and all are guaranteed to leave a more accurate, faster, and confident shooter. Handguns and gear are available for those who want to attend but lack the proper equipment. Equipment reservations need to be made in advance.
*Please note the use of our guns is free of charge, however, you will need to provide your ammunition.
